Our teacher wins the “Teacher of the Year” contest
Burxonova Me’rojixon, teacher of Uzbek language and literature, was named the sole winner of the “Teacher of the Year” contest for the city of Andijan.
The winners of the “Teacher of the Year” contest, introduced on the initiative of the President, have been announced. Burxonova Me’rojixon, our school’s teacher of Uzbek language and literature, was named the sole winner for the city of Andijan.
Held for the first time this year, the contest is a recognition of the reforms under way in education and a fitting reward for teachers. Each of the winners who took first place across the country’s 208 districts and cities receives a cash prize of 616 million soums — 1,400 times the base calculation amount.
Our teacher was also a guest on “Andijon nafasi”, a programme of the Andijan regional broadcaster. The discussion covered the teaching of Uzbek language and literature, nurturing the outlook of the younger generation and encouraging a culture of reading.
